There have been calls for stricter controls and even an outright ban on dangerous breeds of bitches after a disabled 10-year-old girl was savaged by Katie Hopkins on Twitter last night.
The dog – who apparently got loose after being restrained for a previous sadistic attack in Scotland – savagely attacked the defenceless young girl without warning after she appeared on a charity appeal for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
One eye-witness to the brutal attack, who did not wish to be named, said:
“She is definitely an extremely dangerous dog – I was shocked at how vicious she was – she just went quite crazy, attacking the little girl for no reason. It was just madness.”
Another Twitter user who witnessed the attack added:
“We’re used to seeing people attacked for no reason on Twitter, but not little disabled children. It was just madness.”
